Candace is about to marry Tom. Our vision is limited. We only see the “regular” Tom. The regular is unchanging and commonplace. The divine is always growing and unique. Part of perception identification requires the lover to be a visionary. To touch in the now what might be in the future. For in truth all of the future is present in the infinite now. The lovers perception intuits unfolding and growth long before it actually manifests.
“Growing” is what the Devil Mephistopheles talks about to Dr. Faust in Goethe famous reworking of an old Germanic legend. The devil makes a pact with the Good Dr. If in any moment your are so enamored that you say Linger Thou Art Fair — your forfeit your soul. For what you have done is to freeze the moment and stop growing. To stop growing is to die. Soul prints are always unfolding. Soul print is both a point of origin and a destination. We grow, but we were really always there to begin with. The fully developed lover senses the destination in the point of origin.
